Too Much Explore.exe And A Slow Connections.

So I went on and deleted the cache folder, which suddenly greatly affected performance of explorer in a positive way. I'm not sure what I changed, perhaps something after use of... NEW DETAILS 9/10/11: I am now experiencing this problem on two different Windows 7 x64 computers. Any ideas? navigate here

I assume since windows explorer runs properly in safe mode that the problem is being caused by something that loads in normal mode. EDIT: The tutorial said it could take several hours for the check to complete, so i'm going to run it tomorrow instead. I don't however think that it will boot up faster by using those tweaks.
