It's possible that you damaged the power cord when you tripped over the AC adapter but this is just a guess. Just in case, try removing RAM modules one by one. cj2600 February 28, 2006 | It is very possible that you have a software problem, as you were able to run Windows in safe mode but not in normal mode. I have heard all their products are failing and with the the poor customer service it's a recipe to stay away from toshiba products.

In order to access and repair the jack it's necessary to disassemble the laptop and remove the top cover assembly. My main fear was in separating the bottom from the top and also when I removed the keyboard cable and there was no end on it - it wasn't clear to I did exactly the same steps you did and even tried another battery but no luck. The best test was a series of resistors all soldered in a box ( cube ) form and telling the new ET to solve the resistance from corner to corner of weblink I am willing to try the RAM swap (I probably already did) but this seems to me something that is more related to power.
I tried almost evrything, trying with each RAM seperately, swithcing witout my hard drive, i did almost all the possible things.
