After the Toshiba screen, it just shows a tiny white box, maybe 10px in height? On the blue screen, did you have time to note the 10 caracter error code beginning with 0x? Sounds to me like it may not even be fixable (or worth fixing-anything is fixable if you throw enough money at it).

Yes, HDD is listed in both BIOS menu and F12 Menu but is ignored as if non-existent. Try some of the programs on Hiren's boot CD. My Toshiba Laptop Wont Boot Up Windows 7 Then instal the cmos battery, plug in the adapter power (NOT the battery.Boot up and if the os starts up insert the battery.Then update the bios. I plugged it into the laptop with a windows disk in it and tried to boot but nothing changed.
Obviously it doesn't have enough features yet.
