Even though the problem started when I put in my video card (which usually would indicate the problem is the video card) I really don't think it is. First step was using HP update. I think it is started since I installed Given your choice of baitware and the apps I just noted, why do you think your system it misbehaving? When CTRL+ALT+DEL is pressed it shows that svchost.exe is using up maximum CPU resources and only occurs when Automatic Updates is enabled. You need to corner down the service/process eating up the CPU.
